Terms
Terms of use
Last updated 21 October 2026.
These terms cover the Pixo app for the Mac and this website. By installing or using Pixo you agree to them.
The licence
- Pixo is licensed, not sold. A paid plan gives you a personal licence to use the app for as long as the plan runs; a lifetime plan has no end date.
- One licence covers 2 Macs at a time. You can deactivate a Mac in the app and activate another.
- Do not share or resell licence keys, and do not try to get around the licence check.
- Without Pro the app still opens, views and browses your pictures and PDFs, and its tools work on one file at a time. Pro features need a Pro licence.
Plans and payment
- Plans and prices are on the pricing page. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added at checkout.
- There is no trial. The free version of Pixo has no time limit, so you can try it for as long as you like before buying.
- The yearly plan renews until you cancel. Cancel any time in the customer portal; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- The lifetime plan is a single payment. Its launch price applies to the first buyers only, as the pricing page says.
- Payments are handled by Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record, under its own terms.
Refunds
If Pixo is not right for you, write to [email protected] and ask. We would rather refund you than keep an unhappy customer.
Your files
- Pixo works on files on your Mac. Its tools save new files next to the originals; renaming and moving to the Trash act on your real files, and can be undone in the app.
- AI features use Apple Intelligence on your Mac, under Apple's own terms for macOS. AI answers can be wrong: check what matters before you rely on it.
- Redaction removes text from a copy of a PDF. Check the copy before you share it.
No warranty
Pixo is provided as it is. We work to keep it reliable, but we do not promise it is free of faults or that it will open every file. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost files or indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have by law as a consumer.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do.
